Prior Authorization Specialist
Wage is based on certification: RMA, CMA, LPN, or RN
This is a non-remote position.
The Prior Authorization Specialist contacts insurance companies to determine if prior authorization is needed for procedures, medications, and biologics. Completes appropriate paperwork via paper, internet or telephone conversation for prior authorizations. Documents in patient chart throughout the process of prior authorization. Actively participates in quality improvement for department efficiency. Acts as the internal expert for health insurance enrollment practices and insurance marketplace systems, including knowledge of required laws and regulations. Other work-related duties as assigned.
Part Time Dental Patient Advocate
$18.00 per hour or more DOE
This is a non-remote position.
The Patient Advocate coordinates patient’s resource needs with appropriate staff. The Patient Advocate is responsible for collecting accurate information including demographic, insurance, and financial information. Tasks include but are not limited to checking in patients, determining financial eligibility for the Sliding Fee Discount Program and other programs, scheduling appointments, checking out patients, accepting payments, answering incoming calls, and checking and responding to voicemails.
